EQUITY

Leading with Community Strengths and Fair Access
Ribbon County of the new affordable housing development Reserve at Mountain Pass

Each community in Chattanooga is distinct, with its own set of qualities and assets. To create a stronger, more unified city, it's essential that we recognize and embrace these differences. By viewing each neighborhood through the lens of its unique strengths, we can equitably lead, advocate, and support the resources needed for every District 7 community to thrive.

My focus has always been on highlighting the positive attributes of every neighborhood, while ensuring that equitable leadership guides our approach to development and support. Every community shares the common goals of safety, growth, and impact, but how we achieve these goals must be informed by a deep understanding of each area’s unique character. Whether it's through targeted resource allocation or customized strategies, equity means that every community, regardless of its size or location, has the tools to succeed.

By fostering an equitable understanding of each community, we can build a Chattanooga where every neighborhood is thriving, safe, and positioned to make a lasting impact. This tailored approach to equity is not just about fairness—it's about unlocking the potential of every resident, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the city’s future success.
