"Thank you to every person, organization, and/or group that canvassed, phone banked, wrote postcards, prayed, fundraised, donated, and/or contributed in any way to the campaign. Your support was, and still is, greatly appreciated!"
March 2, 2021...what a day! I started the day with prayer and prepared for one of the biggest days of my life, Election Day. From 8am-7pm we were at the polls waving signs, connecting with voters, laughing, talking, eating, and enjoying the day. This is how I imagine every Election Day should be, a joyful occasion. As my team and I entered Pax Breu Ruim for the Election Watch Party we were hopeful for a victory, but you can never be too sure. When the first two updates came in we were behind by 40+ votes, but when all the final numbers updated we won by 296 votes.
Every Vote Counts
There were so many lessons learned along the campaign trail:
Keep God first and always pray
Be sure you have a GREAT TEAM!
Make sure your support system is in place
Nothing beats knocking on doors
Take note of every concern
Volunteers are THE BEST!
Always remember “your why”
and so much more...
No One Wins Alone
Thank you to every person, organization, and/or group that canvassed, phone banked, wrote postcards, prayed, fundraised, donated, and/or contributed in any way to the campaign. Your support was, and still is, greatly appreciated!
Onward
So what’s next? Inauguration Day is Monday, April 19 at 10am. In the meantime, I’ll be reconnecting and connecting to individuals, groups, and organizations to strengthen relationships as I prepare to serve the people of District 7. Oh yeah, I did fit in a week long vacation to decompress, reset, and refocus on this new phase of service.
Thank You District 7!
I’m looking forward to Building Stronger Communities with You!
