The coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted our local economy with losses of over $8 million in revenue. In addition, there have been business closings and permanent loss of employment for many of our fellow Chattanoogans.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel.

As we continue to deal with this pandemic and its aftermath, we hope to return to some sense of normalcy as the vaccine makes it way through our community.

In rebuilding and strengthening economy, we have an opportunity to develop a thriving economy for everyone that is collaborative, connected, and resilient. That can look like increasing our private-public partnerships to extend access to under-resourced communities or incorporating resiliency planning into our current budget.

As City Councilwoman, I will support economic growth and development that gives all Chattanoogans an opportunity for upward mobility.

Early voting is happening now and lasts through February 25. Find more information about early voting here. Vote Raquetta Dotley February 10-25 and on Election Day, March 2.
